In six days God created everything we see,
The world that surrounds us,
for you and for me.
Not millions or billions of years did it take,
to think so is common, but still a mistake.
Though a man’s ideas and theories seem right in his mind,
in the end it will lead him to death he will find.
Evolution, a revolution, Charles Darwin did start,
an answer to questions that troubled his heart.
They say trust science not faith in one truth,
that would rescue and save us from the God of man’s youth.
Now a century well past, his faithful still preaching,
our schools and museums amok with his teaching.
With evidence abundant, his followers claim mounting,
The proof still alludes them, but in faith they are counting.
Only death itself will bring proof to one side,
the conflict apparent, too subtle to hide.
So if your eyes are wide open,
and your desire is to hear,
God’s word will bring comfort and,
His trumpet no fear.
Of scoffers and truth deniers our Lord did tell,
of the wide road that leads through the gates of hell.
