It seems a cloud of anticipation is hovering over the nation. The internet is abuzz with discussions of mans’ impending doom. Pandemic, climate change, political unrest, riots, terrorism, economic and natural disasters, wars and rumors of wars are the hot topics during these perilous times, and perhaps rightfully so. The past century, the 20th, was a century strife with rebellion against both God and man and this century seems to be no less exciting so far.
In the twentieth century, worldwide, more people died over ideology, more real estate evaporated from war and more governments rose and fell than during any other time period throughout the entire history of mankind. All of which was proceeded by an ideological revolution of thinking in the nineteenth century that man was king and God was not. Moreover, the false notion that God never existed and religion was a superstition created by the weak and insecure seemed to germinate in the minds of men, and permeate everything in both world and American culture.
As a result, this 21st Century is now reaping the consequences of the previous two centuries and there seems to be a collective nihilistic anticipation of the end. While on one hand we seem to have done everything humanly possible to eliminate our feelings of guilt and remorse, while on the other hand, subconsciously seem to harbor feelings akin to the wayward child who has been naughty while parents were away and now, with much guilt and remorse, regrettably waits for the parents return to met out the punishment for their errant behavior. This subconscious guilt has most noticeably been expressed in our young people today who have unfortunately bought off on the notion of “white privilege,” or “white guilt” even though those of us living today had nothing to do with slavery. It is the paradox of the ages – our knowledge of God and His capabilities and yet our blatant disregard for Him.
But what was it that marked this past two centuries so different from the proceeding thousands of years of man’s existence? What made it so different, dangerous and deadly? The scriptures say that in the last days, knowledge would increase (Daniel 12:4 ), and indeed we have seen an exponential increase in knowledge and scientific achievement and discovery, but have we not also likewise seen an increase in man’s foolishness, pride and haughtiness? And though the Bible spoke of an increase in knowledge, it never stated that wisdom, which is the application of knowledge, would increase.
In 1859 Charles Darwin wrote a book entitled the “Origin of Species” which suggested that man and all living organisms were not the creation of God, but were more likely the result of random chance and time. Thus was born the theory of Evolution! The idea that birthed the flawed notion that man could somehow unhitch his wagon from a creator god and instead be the creator of his own destiny unbound by any moral obligation to the parental authority of an all knowing and Almighty God.
The single most destructive and flawed human idea that has ever taken root in the hearts and minds of men is the notion that we are nothing more than an ever evolving and ever improving species resulting from nothing more than random chance.
Not an original human thought though, but S.P.A.M. actually! Satan’s Plan Against Mankind – to take anything of value that God has created, or anything that is rooted in a deep and meaningful respect for God and turn it into a cheap and hollow imitation.
Evolution is the most blatant and destructive example to the careful observer and researcher, but also look what he has managed with the systematic destruction of marriage and the family, and the twisting of biological male and female into some gender kaleidoscope where everyone and their brother is now so confused by words and thoughts that nothing makes sense anymore, but somehow a new method of science and data collection are supposed to fix it all. This new science which was once approached through a careful lens of observation and the Scientific Method of exposing false theories and ideas, is now dictated by consensus, political intimidation and the “cancel culture.” However, each of these ideologies are all rooted in humanistic pride and arrogance and are spiritually promoted by this master of chaos, Satan.
This has culminated in a horrible transformation that both the world and America are going through right now where government is looked upon more and more as provider and king over our Creator and our Christian heritage is held in such low regard by the false tolerance and diversity crowd so that, everything but Christianity is to be tolerated.
S.P.A.M is everywhere and has infiltrated everything, from the cheap junk mail carpet bombing of our physical mailboxes and emails, to the false debt riddled worldwide economies and the hollow promises of our political elites we are now routinely subjected to like the phony cardboard characters we see everywhere occupying the seats of our big-league stadiums.
Pretty gloomy huh?
Well, fear not, for it is written in 1 John 5:3-5 “This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.” As Difficult as it may often seem, we are to cling to Jesus and what is real, no matter what the earthly cost. And He is something worth clinging to. Something real!
And so, no matter how insurmountable this final revolution against God may seem, the battle is already won, by the One who lives in us. Because, “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world (1 John 4:4).”
So, stand firm and be patient my fellow believers and seekers of the truth, for though these may seem like the darkest of days, know that there is an old saying that is still true today –
“it is always darkest before the dawn.”

Absolutely, so true.
